(Jesus prayer for His disciples) As you sent Me into the world, I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. John 17:18,19 We are sanctified to serve The Lord. Note 2 aspects of our service: 1. The example of our service. Just as Jesus was set apart to serve, He sets us apart to serve. Jesus was sent with a message, & we are sent with a message. 2. The environment of our service. The place of service for both Jesus & His followers is the world. Our Lord does not send us to a place of ease & comfort. If you are looking for a comfortable & convenient environment for service, you dont understand service. Jesus had to sacrifice His life. How can we serve Him & expect to be exempt from sacrifice? We must go where our Lord directs; we must share what He has given us.
