Jesus provided Himself a Lamb for a sacrifice, but we must apply His blood. We apply the blood of Jesus over us by being baptized by immersion in JESUS name. Jesus is our Passover Lamb. We are spared from death because we have repented and applied His blood. 1Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: The Hebrews in Egypt had to apply the blood of a lamb without blemish to their door posts in order to be saved from death the night if the Passover. (Exodus 12) Exodus 12:7 And they shall take of the blood , and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood , I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 1Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.
