Jesus said come unto Me, all of you who labor and are heavy laden...and I will give you rest. First of all, thats not a suggestion, but an imperative command..e! Why? Because there are issues that you will encounter relative to your labors and being heavy laden that can only find respite, reconciliation and resolve in His presence...no where else. I must tell Jesus! Growing up, I always thought that was one group of people...those who labor and are heavy laden. Having studied this passage, I now realize that its not one group, but two...those who labor AND those who are heavy laden. To labor is simply to be worn out from the toils of life, youre just tired and the Lord wants you to find a rest and peace that only comes from Him. The second group are those who are carrying the weight of somebody elses decisions. You never asked for it, you didnt want it, but yet, youre suffering the consequences of those choices made by others. Today, set aside time to talk to Jesus...He already knows anyway and Hes just waiting for you to surrender the weight of weariness, anger, resentment, hurt, bitterness, rejection and disappointment...in its place, He wants to give you a peace that passes understanding. Do it today!!!
