This may sound extreme. However, when you think about it, that is exactly what Jesus did for us. We tend to forget that Jesus was in Heaven far before He was born in Bethlehem and laid in the manger. Jesus had to turn His back on the wonderful, splendors of Heaven, leave His throne, and take on a human form as a servant, and die for us on the cross in order to give a chance at redemption. If Jesus could do it for us, why would we not be able to do it for Him?
