Jesus said in John 14:2-3 “In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Jesus came to the earth from heaven to do a job, and he did what He came to do. John 17:4 “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.” He came to prepare a people for a coming Kingdom, which is His church. It was His mission and He said here in John 17:4 and that he had “finished the work that God had given Him to do. Jesus said in John 14:3 that he would come again. As Christians, we are all looking forward to that time. When will that tome come? No one knows Matt 24:36 Jesus again said “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” When it happens, it will not be a silent happening as some people teach. We read in I Thess. 4:16 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.” Notice the Lord Himself will descend with a shout, the voice of the archangel and the trump of God shall sound. Sounds like a very noisy time to me. The shout and the trump will be loud enough to literally “wake the dead” I Thess.416. It will happen as Jesus said “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. We need to prepare for that time while we still have an opportunity.”
