Jesus – der Film « Freilichtbühne Weißensee – Kino – und Kulturprogramm JESUS - THE MOVIE by Michael Brynntrup is a monumental film in Super Eight format. The filming of the project ran over 15 months from the first idea in December 1984 and premiered at the Venice Film Festival in Berlin 1986 involved in the project were 22 filmmakers and non-filmmakers from West Germany, East and West Berlin (including three cinemas , a publisher, a film critic, several Super8 film groups). The participating filmmakers / inside got up to ten Super8 cartridges (à three minutes) and had a free hand in designing their episodes.
