Jett update : Today was a scheduled gtube change. It was my second one , ever! I arrived at the hospital with extra tube in hand. It was around 1pm ( tube change was 2pm).... Normally as soon as I get to the hospital I inspect Jett, this often requires a diaper and outfit change. Today was no different. However this mama didnt notice that the nurses made an oopsie and attached his gtube extension on his pants rather than his diaper ! So I went to remove his pants, and OOPS! Feeding tube was ripped out! Balloon full ( the part of the gtube that holds it in place) and everything! Not a flinch from Jett , didnt bother him a bit. But I freaked out! Said OMG and told to student nurse to get a nurse. But I stepped up, grabbed my extra gtube, asked for some lube, and slid that sucker right back in! No cries from Jett again! I did get a pouty lip for a few moments, but I think that was more out of my freak out than anything! Anyways, long story short, I always had a lot of anxiety over gtube changes because I had only done one, but today proved to me that I CAN do it, and so can Jett! This gtube change was MUCH easier than his last one!! So yay me! 👏 ( thank goodness today was scheduled gtube change and I had the extra one literally right beside him!) And finally a sickness update : they have doubled up on his antibiotics , and today he was down to 1l! And doing ok. Last night he was at 3l. So as long as he stays 2l and below tonight ( Im pretty sure he will!) he will be coming home tomorrow!!!! So positive thoughts guys! I need my baby home, he is so bored and lonely in there!
