Jewish people were once victims. Hitler turned against them and - TopicsExpress

Jewish people were once victims. Hitler turned against them and killed many of them for no reason. Few managed to flee, with wounds that ran deeper than skin, flesh and bones. Eventually they got their own country, and they lead a more or less peaceful life now, punctuated only by the wayward rocket shot by Hamas. For every Hamas rocket that interrupts a Jewish wedding, tens and hundreds of innocent people die in Israeli strikes. Should you blame Hamas for these deaths, who should know by now that their rocket fire serves no purpose other that to legitimize Israels attack? Or should you blame the Israeli government, who has forgotten how it felt like to be a victim, and has taken up the role of those they fled from decades ago, the Nazis? Hamas and the Israeli government are showing the darkest of human instincts, the hunger for revenge, the animalistic lust for blood, and your blaming wont make any difference unless you have a voice in the UN. Instead of wasting your energy on facebook blaming a particular side, ask yourself, would you have acted like a human if you were in their shoes? Could you have stopped yourself from giving into the urge to get sweet revenge? The answer is probably no. I know that would have been my answer. In the end, all human conflicts come about because most of us havent evolved into humans yet. The Jewish people were once victims, and Nazis were terrible to them. Now the Jewish people have become terrible. In future, the Palestinians or some other group would become terrible given the chance. Humans have a dark, animalistic side. You cant say a group is better than the other because, well, we are all mostly animals. Prophets have talked about this for ages, but this is something you wont hear from your religious preacher (you will just hear about obscure religious laws). For example, Jihad is the fight against the animal inside you, as any learned Muslim scholar will tell you. It is ironic that the term Jihad is now used to stir up the animal inside us, and looked upon as a scary word (thank you Osama). You cant do anything about Israel-Palestine conflict, see if you can do anything about the human-animal conflict within yourself in this month of Ramadan. Maybe the world will have few more humans in the process. I am trying too, for myself.
