Jews and Christians, as well as the civilized world, receive their bedrock principles from the Bible. The very concept of right and wrong in international society is founded on what some call Judeo-Christian beliefs. Likewise the concept and pursuit of virtue is built on Bible defined morality. America was founded on such principles. These godly principles influence international society and nations that respect them thrive while those that reject them fall in to ever lower depths of anarchy. Indeed a society cannot long survive the influence of the only other power in the universe. Consider nations such as North Korea and others who lately embrace some form of Sharia Law. Such anarchy always follows the turning away from godly principles. Where is the Japan of old, or Germany of WW2? Where is the art, medical advances, and technological wonders of nations that reject Bible principles? Where does individual freedom flourish? Is it seen in Iran or Communist countries? Individual freedom only comes when non-biblical societies are weakened and the worth of the individual is (again) respected. History teaches this lesson over and over but we are raising a generation that is neither aware of history nor respects its witness. This is the problem with our society and focusing on a symptom resulting from our rotting foundation is futile.
