Jews have a curfew in Paris tonight. No going to synagogue. The police fear what will happen to them. SMH. This is nothing new, though. A few years ago I woke up on a Sunday to hear how five North African guys beat an 11 year old boy to a pulp, crushing his skull, after Shabbat. He is a paraplegic today. (The story was too insignificant to get much attention in the international press. Such things happen frequently.) Those of you who are claiming Muslims are persecuted in France: Thats complete and utter BS. I do not deny Islamophobia throughout the world. But despite the history of French imperialism, French Muslims are VERY strong and self-confident. So much so that they have slaughtered numerous Jews over the past years. So much so that the normal response of the Muslim kids in the cité schools is that the massacre this week was fully justified for anyone who would insult Islam. So much so that most Muslims refuse to have Jewish women teaching their children in the schools. So much so that all Jews know to wear baseball caps and others hats or to take off their yarmulkes. I find it really precious when you all talk about treatment of minorities under the assumption that this refers only to Muslims, when there are more Muslims in France than in any other European country and many of them treat Frances oldest and tiniest minority (Jews) with such hatred and violence.
