JiHoon Suk, here is the recording by Gemma Bellincioni I posted about yesterday. Her voice was no longer in its prime by the time she started to make records in 1903 (the year of this recording), probably because she had been singing heavily dramatic verismo roles; she made her debut as far back as 1879. Nevertheless, she does some amazing things--listen to the high note (a B?) toward the end. Her voice on record has been described as having a tremulous intensity, and I think that is evident here. The phrasing is unusual, but apparently typical for its time. I have lowered the pitch a semitone (following Ward Marstons information).
