Jibreel Led the Angels in Badr “Jibreel came to the Prophet - TopicsExpress

Jibreel Led the Angels in Badr “Jibreel came to the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) and said: ‘How do you gauge the people of Badr among you?’ He said: ‘Among the best of the Muslims.’ He said: ‘It is the same with those of the angels who were present at Badr.’” [Sahih Bukhari] The angels are the troops of Allah. He strikes with them any of His slaves He wishes. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) informs us that He helped the Muslims in the Battle of Badr by means of the angels, in answer to their call for help, and to strengthen them with the support and feeling of tranquility that angels cast into their hearts. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) said: “Allah helped you at Badr when you were in a pitiful state, therefore be fearful of Allah, so that hopefully you might be thankful. When you said to the believers, ‘Is it not enough for you that your Lord reinforced you with three thousand angels sent down?’ No indeed! If you are steadfast and God fearing and this time they come upon you suddenly, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels, clearly marked. Allah only did this to be good news for you and so that your hearts would be made tranquil by it. Victory comes from none but Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.” [Quran 3:123-126] Ar-Rabi bin Anas said: “On the day of Badr people could see those who had been slain by the angels among the dead by the blows above the necks and on their fingertips which looked as if fire had burnt them.” [Bayhaqi] Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) reveals in the Quran that He said to the angels: “I am with you so make those who believe firm. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who reject, so strike their necks and strike every finger of them!” [8:12]
