Jihad in our time is Fard ‘Ayn [an individual obligation]. Allah Ta’ala says: ما لكم إذا قيل لكم انفروا في سبيل الله اثاقلتم إلى الأرض What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allah (i.e. Jihad) you cling heavily to the earth? [Quran 9:38] A number of scholars have narrated that if the lands of the Muslims are raided, it becomes an obligation to fight, also if the enemies attacks it becomes an obligation. The International Coalition nowadays have started an attack to fight “terrorism”. Actually they mean fighting Islam, the Muslims and the Jihad worldwide. Like their biggest Taghut said: “It is a crusade.”. It is a war that’s been fought on several levels, Military, Economical, Cultural and Social. In all places and at all levels. The Jihad is an individual obligation, depending on a persons capabilities. The Battle-Field isn’t only in Afghanistan, rather we are fighting them everywhere, because the natures of wars in our time have changed and there is no specific Battle-Field nor a bounded area.
