Jim had come prepared and yesterday he requested all the documents that we wanted to see on both days as no requests are pulled on Saturdays. There is another security guard at the entrance to this final room and documents are delivered to clients on carts or one box at a time, depending on how it is stored. There are plenty of safeguards in place to keep people from getting the files mixed up, such as only one file can be pulled from the box at a time and a provided marker must hold the folder’s place so it can be retuned in the right order. Only one box can be opened at a time per desk and only one person can work in a box at a time. Jim and I had discussed “My Wish List” in advance so mostly he tagged specific files, explained what I was seeing and the historical relevance--- then I would photograph them.
