Jim is doing very well, very little pain, but did find out that his heart is not staying in rhythm and hes going to be electrocardioverted in the morning. Ill be there for that tomorrow. So probably not going home Friday.Not uncommon for afib to reoccur - was just hoping that this wouldnt happen to Jim. But Jim does look great and feels good. He just hates the bed and sleeps in the chair. Still tires pretty easily. When he does go home the hospital rules are going to apply for awhile - small groups of people, short visits and phone calls. Please dont think that just because Jims home hes all better -he will be recouping his strength and that will be a process. Hell be having cardiac rehab on M-W-F for a few weeks so that will tire him also. The best way to help Jim is not let himself push himself too hard. (He did a little too much at times when he was rehabbing with his knee surgery.) This needs to be a slow and steady progression.
