JimPrentice_logo 13 January 2015 The Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta has decided to open up candidate nominations in 35 constituency associations, with each contested nomination to vote on 21 February 2015. The decision to open up these nominations came after a PC Alberta Board of Directors meeting on Saturday in Calgary. “I’d like to make clear to all of our supporters, the media, and the public that these nominations will be fully open. Our members in each constituency will select who they want representing them in the next general election,” said PC Alberta President Terri Beaupre. “I’m excited to meet our first group of candidates in a few short weeks.” The 35 constituencies are as follows: Airdrie Athabasca-Sturgeon-Redwater Bonnyville-Cold Lake Calgary-Acadia Calgary-Buffalo Calgary-Elbow Calgary-Fish Creek Calgary-Foothills Calgary-Glenmore Calgary-Hawkwood Calgary-Hays Calgary-Klein Calgary-Mountain View Calgary-North West Calgary-Northern Hills Calgary-West Drayton Valley-Devon Edmonton-Ellerslie Edmonton-Glenora Edmonton-Mill Woods Edmonton-South West Edmonton-Whitemud Fort McMurray-Conklin Grande Prairie-Wapiti Lac La Biche-St. Paul-Two Hills Lethbridge-East Little Bow Medicine Hat Peace River Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre Spruce Grove-St. Albert Strathcona-Sherwood Park West Yellowhead Wetaskiwin-Camrose Whitecourt-Ste. Anne Each constituency association will decide on how long the nomination period and campaign period will be open, following the guidelines set out in the PC Alberta constitution. -30-
