Jo & Mya Memorial Fund Today marks the anniversary of the tragic accident which killed Jo & Mya Richardson on 8th August 2010 at 9:30PM. Ian, Jo, Mya and Ava Richardson were travelling back from a family wedding when their car was struck by a driver travelling down the wrong side of the A1. Ian and his 10-week old daughter Ava survived. Today, Ian asks you to join his family in remembering Joanne and Mya. At exactly 9.30PM Ian asks that each person lets off a chinese lantern into the sky, maybe even two if you feel like it in your own home / garden. The Jo & Mya Memorial Fund aims to provide help, assistance, guidance and counselling to children who have either lost a parent or sibling, or, who have a parent or sibling undergoing treatment for serious / terminal illnesses. Through access to specialist counsellors, activity weekends, financial support and more, we aim to provide an outlet through which to help children understand they are not alone, they have options, there are others they can talk to.
