Jo Wynn has done what I have dreaded for a while as I have - TopicsExpress

Jo Wynn has done what I have dreaded for a while as I have vicariously and anonymously peeked at the Ten Influential books challenge. I say dreaded because like Liz Williams I cannot think how to reduce any list to just ten. But here goes - in no particular order - Bertrand Russell - The History of Western Philosophy John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - Lord of the Rings trilogy (counts as one here!). Michael Moorcock - almost anything, but for here - Knight of Swords Robert Chambers - Book of Days (of which I have a First Edition) Kenneth Grahame - Wind in the Wllows Charles Kingsley - Water Babies Homer - The Oddysey Lesley Alcock - Arthurs Britain: History and Archaeology AD 367–634 Gerald S. Hawkins - Stonehenge Decoded Winston Spencer Churchill - History of the English Speaking Peoples (again a multi-volume set!)..... I also nominate without knowledge of whether anyone may already have declared, and I am staying away from my more literary friends who I am sure will have been caught up by now! I therefore nominate Jean Hetty Wilson, Elaine Howard, Ross Hemsworth, Penny Dando Nigel Bourne, Julie Bourne, Jamie Alexzander, & Jo Worsley List 10 books that have stayed with you/impacted your life. They dont have to be high brow or anything fancy just what has resonated with you...what you really love to read. Then nominate up to 10 others.
