Job 08/01/2015 morning The Bushenyi/Ishaka municipality Member of Parliament Odo Tayebwa has asked all schools in the municipality to promote Information Computer and Technology education for a brighter future of the learners. While speaking during the Bushenyi district Education Forum in the multipurpose hall yesterday, Odo said ICT skills are necessary for the innovativeness and creativity of Ugandan youth and thus need to be boosted. He further appealed to the Ministry of Education officials to consider the increase the salaries of teachers who upgrade their studies after joining the profession saying that their vast skills and experience require an outstanding remuneration. Speaking at the same function, Saul Rwampororo the Bushenyi District Education Officer noted that despite the improved performance of the sector, it still faces problems of limited staffing, low enrollment in some primary schools, and absenteeism of both learners and teachers among other challenges. xxx
