Job # 14-07 Position: Behavioral Health Claims Manager/Director Location: Portland, Maine. Type: Insurance Company Salary: Excellent salary & benefits Status: full time with some travel to New Jersey & Arizona Duties: • Develop and lead a new medical/clinical unit to improve the focus on behavioral medicine claims and their unique challenges. • Interact with all levels of the disability management team and report directly to the Chief Medical Officer. • Employs strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment. • Develop measures and metrics documenting the status and impact of this unit to the management of disability claims. • Leads a team of clinicians focused on providing consulting services to internal constituents on behavioral medicine claims • Works with multiple business resources and subject matter experts, leads problem-solving and solutions to improve business processes and management systems • Assures process enhancements align with risk and control environment. • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (additional locations include Roseland, NJ & Scottsdale, AZ; Requirements: • Experienced business leader • Requires a strong background in process analytics, design and implementation • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; nursing degree or other behavioral health degree • Demonstrated success in the development and launch of a start-up organization; • Experience in the development of Behavioral Health claims unit is preferred • Process improvement expertise and certifications (e.g. six sigma, lean, etc.) a plus • Ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities in a matrixed environment • At least 5 years of relevant business leadership experience • Excellent written and verbal & computer communication skills • Minimum 5 years of disability claims insurance experience • Demonstrated success in managing large scale project If you are interested in this position email your resume as an attached word document to Nancy@OccHealthConnections Nancy Clover RN, COHN-S Occupational Health Connections 978-686-9739 Fax: 978-258-2682 PO Box 2106 Methuen, MA 01844 occhealthconnections
