Job Announcement - Library Director at Lane Community College Position closes Jan. 30th, 2015 Eugene, Oregon We are seeking a forward thinking, dynamic, and collaborative leader to help unify the vision of the Library’s role in a newly renovated space within a vibrant new Learning Commons. The Lane Community College Library is a student-focused, collegial work environment. Lane Community College Library faculty and staff employees are focused on providing ongoing and timely access to information services and resources for all students and faculty. The Library Director is an important member of a dynamic team that serves students, faculty and the college by providing high levels of access to information and library resources. The selected candidate shall be engaging and demonstrate initiative. The College Library Director must have proven ability to facilitate meetings, navigate multiple demands and recognize common group interests in serving the information needs of students, faculty and the community. The Lane Community College Library Director must be a leader in creating a welcoming and informed environment for all library users. It is expected that the person in this role will model the principles and concepts of social justice in daily work.
