Job Assist Centre work to help people who are furthest away from the job market, for example those who are lone parents, long-term unemployed, ex-political prisoners and ex-offenders. We assist people who are claiming benefits including: DLA, ESA, Income Support and people in receipt of JSA for more than 12 months. Assistance is also provided to non claimants and young people not in employment, education or training. We offer a wide range of training to help you improve your employability and have previously helped people gain qualifications and certificates ranging from C.S.R, Essential Skills, Nails & Beauty, to Forklift licences. We deliver a CV building service that helps people design a personalised CV in addition to this we provide assistance with application forms, faciliate mock interviews and host job clubs sessions to help you find the job that you want. If you are looking experience to brush up your skills then why not try one of pre-employment programmes that run regularly throughout the year. These have included training in Retail, Care Sector, Health and Safety, Personal Care plus many more! We do everything in our power to ensure that local people have the resources, skills and support to get the job they want, which can be anything from a nail technician to a lorry driver. We not only provide financial support to gain qualifications but also work with people to fully prepare for jobs which can include removing their barriers to work such as looking at childcare provision and improving their chances at securing work such as developing good interview techniques. In the last year alone we have provided advice and assistance to over 800 people with support in completing application forms and interview tecniques. Through interventions such as pre-employment training courses and the other specific training requests from our clients we have provided 600 separate training opportunities since April 2011, which has improved the employability of our clients.
