Education: High School/GED Benefits: Health Insurance Life Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Vacation Paid Holidays Responsibilities: Enter Orders into Transportation Management System (TMS) Source Qualified Carriers Negotiate Spot Rates Contract Rates Tender / Dispatch / Track and Trace Identify and Communicate Order Exceptions. Database Integrity Joint Process Improvement Responsibilities by Function Enter Order into TMS Enter new orders in TMS; Update Order in TMS with updates Source Qualified Carriers Use multiple tools to identify Qualified Carriers to execute our clients orders Negotiate Spot Rates Negotiate Spot Carrier rates that return goal margins to the company Contract Rates Identify Carrier partners that fit the service needs of our clients, capacity and price point Execute Pricing addendums Load Contracted rates in TMS Tender / Dispatch / Track and Trace Tender carriers and ensure proper documentation is obtained Dispatch Driver Via Phone and execute the event in TMS Track and Trace the order thru the orders life cycle Identify and Communicate Exceptions Proactively leverage TMS to recognize issues Effectively manage and notify the appropriate departments to the non conformance Database Integrity Commitment to maintain processes and work flows within Operating Systems in a Real Time fashion. Joint Process Improvement Identify, communicate, and implement continuous improvement initiatives for each Client process Measuring and meeting Key Performance Indicators of our Client’s Supply Chain Maintenance, management and corrective action initiatives related to carrier performance and service Organizational Representation Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the account management team Develop and retain relationships with Client and Carrier Providers Qualifications Commitment to the transportation industry and the mission Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Java based programs Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Willingness to quickly learn FMSCA and DOT rules and regulations Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace Open to direction and a Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done Ability to debate issues of importance to the organization. Ability to look at situations from several points of view Persuasive with details and facts Manage responsibilities effectively High comfort level working in a diverse fast paced environment No Transportation experience required.
