Job Description  Position: Field Worker Duty Station: Amman About Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale is a Non-Governmental Humanitarian Organization, non-profit, apolitical and non-religious. Its entire staff is mobilized daily to cover the basic needs of civilian victims endangered, marginalized or excluded by the effects of natural disasters, wars and situations of economic collapse by allowing them to recover their autonomy and dignity. PU-AMI is based in 21 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caucasus and the Caribbean, and operates in the areas of food security, health, nutrition, rehabilitation of infrastructure, water and sanitation and economic recovery. PU-AMI is currently operating in Jordan in providing humanitarian assistance to the communities affected by the presence of vulnerable Syrians. The sectors interested by PU-AMI intervention are shelter, water & sanitation, health, community services. General conditions of employment The employee shall abide to this job description, his/her employment contract well as any rules, regulations, internal policy that may be adopted by PU-AMI Jordan. Work relationship Under the direct supervision of: Team Leader Supervise: N/A Works in direct cooperation with:  Project Managers, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Team, social workers and Logistics Team Responsibilities and particular assignments General responsibilities: -Support the distribution and implementation of emergency activities in shelter, NFI / Cash and other sectors under supervision of the Team Leader Objective 1: To prepare distribution of emergency assistance materials for shelter and Cash/NFI and any new activities that PU-AMI undertakes. Activities: -He/She supports Team Leader in the selection & confirmation of distribution places (CBO, Youth clubs, etc) -He/She collaborates with Team Leaders and Social workers to plan distributions. -He/She liaises with selected beneficiaries to inform about the distribution place and methodology -He/She physically distributes NFI / Shelter Kits / Cash to selected beneficiaries Objective 2: To coordinate with program and M&E teams Activities: -He/She participates to daily briefs and debriefs. -He/She provides Distribution Field reports. -He/She prepares distribution, payment receipts and works reports. -He/She informs his supervisor about any issues met by beneficiaries or any abuse during the distribution process. Required knowledge & Skills -Good command of English -Previous experience in Volunteer work -Eager to go on the field as the position requires extensive local travel and community work. -Knowledge and experience in social work is considered an advantage.
