Also known as Associate Software Developer -Partners in the Accelerated Software Developer Program are responsible or accountable for developing or modifying programs based upon provided specifications as part of a targeted skills development program. They develop the skills necessary for successful development of solutions for H-E-B. The role provides a foundational understanding for a career in Information Systems. Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary: - Assists and/or performs in fact-finding to develop or modify information systems - Assists and/or performs in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written - Code (multi-language), test, debug, document, and maintain assigned programs - Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary - Demonstrates competency in coding, testing, documenting, and promoting to production or certification - Work in a team environment requiring extensive communication on assigned projects and meeting provided deadlines - Understand and validate comprehensiveness of use case development and application - Active participation in and completion of assigned non-technical development activities - Active completion of the SADC training curriculum - Basic understanding of all deliverables associated with H-E-Bs System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - Robust understanding of development SDLC deliverables - Demonstrate the potential required for successful advancement to SADP II level at the 24 month mark Qualifications: Education and Experience preferred: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science preferred (or equivalent experience in related field) - 0 - 2 Years Experience - Strong communication skills - Strong analytical skills Physical and Other Requirements - Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment - Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays - Sit for an extended period of time - Work extended hours - Other (specific to the job) *How To Apply : email resume to valdez.mary@heb or apply to heb/careers under corporate positions.
