Job Opening: JUSTIN winery is hiring: booking private events for the restaurant and outside catering as well as managing front of house at the restaurant. Requisition Number : JUS354 Job Title : Private Event & Restaurant Supervisor Company : Justin Vineyards & City :Paso Robles Position Type :Full Time - Permanent Job Description :The Private Event & Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for managing all Front of House Operations and Private Events. The top three responsibilities are: 1) Efficiently run Front of House activities, 2) Actively seek and book private events, 3) Daily/Weekly/Monthly Restaurant Reporting. This position requires a candidate with a very strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and customer service experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages to revenue and OPEX (Payroll, Food Costs, Events, Etc.) budget and reports on revenue and expenses weekly during check in w/manager, tracks expenses for accruals for the Restaurant budget. Drives lunch and dinner traffic to planned levels or above. Trains and supervises the Front of House staff. Creates weekly & monthly reports including: covers, average revenue/cover, wine sales, OPEX to budget, total performance to budget, etc. and other reports as requested by management. Owns private event planning and booking; actively seeks opportunities to capture event bookings & revenue. Works with the Inn & Reservations Manager, Tasting Room Manager, and Restaurant Manager/Executive Chef to conduct regular outreach with local hotels, restaurants, wineries and transportation companies to set up promotions and packages that will drive traffic to the winery for all on-property offerings, but with a focus on lunch, dinner, and private events. Responsible for the maintenance of the Restaurant POS system and accurate data reporting into the file of record. Work with marketing & department managers on collateral needs and photography (e.g. menu template, event/wedding brochure, hospitality brochure, website, etc.) Works closely with the Sr. Manager, Tasting Room & Guest Experience on the hiring process for the chef team and service staff, ensures 90-day reviews for new hires are completed on schedule. Assist with implementation of brand standards. Assists in the preparation of files and PPT decks for meetings. Helps establish and implement format, offerings, etc. Requirements : EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 3+ years experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry, familiarity with day-to-day tasting room operations.· Strong sense of urgency in matters related to revenue and building the business. Strong organizational skills, customer service, restaurant, and event planning/execution experience required.· Demonstrated strong ability to work well under pressure. Ability to establish direction, obtain commitment and execute.
