We at COA Youth & Family Centers are currently hiring for the following position: OPEN POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Title: Teen Program Coordinator Location: Goldin Center FLSA Status: Exempt Earnings: $31,000 to $33,280 per year depending on experience Start: Immediate Applications will be accepted through September 19, 2013. This position is responsible for the overall supervision and quality of service delivery for the Goldin teen program. This position also provides administrative, management, and professional support for all aspects of their program. It is a full-time, year-round position eligible for benefits. Main Job Responsibilities 1. Ensure that high quality programs are planned and delivered with youth input that meet COA’s mission, philosophy, standards and goals. 2. Supervise three group leaders and computer lab specialist which includes hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, disciplining, and evaluating. 3. Ensure compliance with grant requirements and logic models. Ensure accurate and complete records are kept and entered into the appropriate database. Prepare monthly program reports. 4. Recruit and retain program participants. 5. Develop daily/weekly lesson plans, organize space and supplies, and lead assigned groups and activities using established group work methods and any assigned curriculum. 6. Manage youth behavior through positive reinforcement, redirection, and progressive discipline as per COA philosophy and WACYCP Code of Ethics. 7. Assist in creation and maintenance of department budget. Approve expenses. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work, or related field preferred. • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record • At least two years’ experience running at least one structured activity for urban, at-risk youth • Supervisory experience preferred • High proficiency in standard office software • Excellent organizational skills and strong youth management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Patience, positive attitude, and sensitivity to cultural differences Please submit a resume and cover letter to: Human Resources COA Youth & Family Centers [email protected]
