Job Oppertunity - Youth Worker Post for Haldane Youth Services - 6 hours per week Position: Qualified Youth Worker Hours: 6 Hours per week (Split of 3 hours office based & 3 hours delivering the Youth Club on Wednesday Evenings). Hourly Rate: £8 per hour. Funding: Contract funded by Cashback for Communities and will run until 30th June 2015. The Ur-Turn Project An exciting opportunity has arisen within Haldane Youth Service’s Ur-Turn Project, a community based youth initiative working with young people who live in the vicinity of Haldane and Balloch, West Dunbartonshire. The Project was launched in February 2014 due to a need and demand. The Project is delivered from The Mill Cabin, Inler Park, Haldane every Wednesday evening. Youth Worker We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join our existing team to deliver a weekly service for young people in S1 – S4. The successful candidate should have a proven track record working with this age group and have a great understanding of Youth Work Practices. A PVG will be required for this post. Roles & Responsibilities The post will involve the following duties: · Forward planning of activities and trips. · Achieving learning outcomes. · Effective evaluating. · Managing money and budgets · Consultation with young people. · Writing reports for funders and stakeholders. · Supervising volunteers. · Liaising with external agencies. · Stock control. · Management of resources.
