The location would be superb for students attending centrally located schools University of Houston, University of St. Thomas, Art Institute of Houston, Texas Southern University, Rice University, Houston Baptist University, etc. The part-time Help Desk Intern will assist the IT manager with daily end-user support to the design and production staff. Candidates must be professional and possess a desire to provide agency IT support. Candidates must be ready and willing to learn new skills, must be prompt when arriving to work and must be detail-oriented. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: • MUST HAVE: Mac OS X (OS 10.6 - 10.8) desktop support • Windows desktop support (XP - Windows 7) • End-User Network Support • Hardware installation and maintenance tasks as assigned by IT • Software installation and maintenance tasks as assigned by IT • Adobe Creative Suite (CS 4 - CC) support REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • Basic networking knowledge • Working knowledge of IMAP, POP, SMTP, FTP, SFTP • Familiarity with Google apps • Functional proficiency with Microsoft Office • Ability to track time and use ticketing systems • Able to lift up to 40lbs • Have reliable transport • Other duties as assigned • Expressed preference for an agency support environment is desirable EDUCATION & CERITIFICATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma and 3rd Year of University completed—typically a technical degree specialization ACMT / Apple Help Desk certified (or equivalent experience or desire for that experience) is preferred JOB TYPE: Part time: 20-25 hours per week Monday - Friday PAY & BENEFITES: $15-$18/hr
