Job Opportunity Of The Day: Bible League International is seeking candidates for a Human Resources Summer Intern for their office in Crete, Illinois. This is a full time paid internship for 12 weeks with a target start day of May 19th. Position Summary The Human Resources Department at Bible League International offers an excellent opportunity for you to gain real world experience in all aspects of Human Resources to include benefit and salary administration, employment law, employee relations, full cycle recruitment (reviewing of resumes, phone interviews, development of job postings), and HRIS. This summer intern will work with a team who are passionate about their work and feel privileged to be part of the ministry. Essential Duties: Assist with coordination of benefits administration. Responsibilities include processing benefit enrollments, enrollment changes, auditing benefit vendor invoices, assisting in the coordination of wellness initiatives and various other projects, as assigned. Assist in recruitment processes. Responsibilities include assisting with the posting of open positions on various websites, reviewing resumes, phone screening candidates upon request, follow up communication with candidates, and tracking recruitment metrics. Work in collaboration with the HR team on overall salary administration to include participating in salary surveys and conducting job worth review and analysis as requested. Learn and assist with updating the new payroll and HRIS system. Together with the HR team, provide assistance to staff on the system. Assist in updating HR resources available to staff and managers on the intranet. Build understanding and awareness and the application of current HR laws. Assist in updating policies and forms as needed. Qualifications: Must be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must also agree with our statement of faith and conduct him/herself in a Christ-like manner. Must be working toward a bachelors degree at an accredited college in Human Resources, Business or related field. Ideally will have completed their junior year in college with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Must possess strong organizational skills, be an effective communicator (verbal and written) and be team-oriented. Must be familiar with MS Office software. Must be able to work well with employees at all levels in the organization. Must be able to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource documents and other employee information.
