The position entails configuring, testing, and repairing systems both at our office and onboard vessels as well as providing any necessary technical support. Electronics experience and/or knowledge of vessel systems is preferred but we will train the right person. Applicants must possess a strong work ethic and a good eye for detail. Requirements: Ability to lift at least 40lbs Technical education or higher with a concentration in electronics, but experience may replace a formal education Knowledge of electronic testing equipment Experience with Hoglund Marine Automation is a plus Ability to use hand tools/power tools Ability to travel domestically and internationally Clean driving record Duties: Verifying connectivity and function of new systems Modifying or adjust parameters according to customers needs Performing quality checks of equipment at office and in shipyards Commissioning vessels and performing sea trials as needed Installing equipment on vessel Using test equipment to diagnose and repair faults in system Using hand tools to crimp and solder connections as required Traveling to any location worldwide to perform commissioning or installations Attending company-sponsored training classes Maintaining writing skills and vocabulary to furnish handwritten reports Required Qualifications: Must be authorized to work in the United States Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check Compensation: We offer competitive pay commensurate with experience, and a positive working culture.
