Job Posting: Lead Carpenter Heritage Restoration, Inc, of Providence, RI a general contractor for traditional buildings, seeks a skilled tradesperson to take the lead in facilitating and assisting in the execution of our carpentry projects. Applicant must have the ability to present site activities to a client as well as understand the nuances of construction for meaningful conversations with trades people. Applicant must have strong independent skills, while also being able to be a part of a team. Projects can vary in size. Heritage Restoration, Inc. often performs work on traditional buildings of state, national and museum significance. Jobs range from small residential to large institutional buildings. Applicants need to have a deep respect for retaining historic material and be aware of the principals of historic preservation. Main experience to be in traditional carpentry, although often our craftspeople will perform other work such as troubleshooting, roofing, flashing, siding, trim, window restoration, doors, millwork, all types of framing and other aspects associated with structures.
