The Purchasing Department is responsible for the sourcing, development, pricing and promotion of product range. This is achieved through a detailed understanding of the grocery retail market, its main competitive players and most importantly its customer tastes and preferences. As well as helping you learn the business from the ground up our training program is designed to help you expand and develop your problem solving and business management skills. * Supplier relationship management * Purchasing and testing goods for numerous stores in the specified region * Work closely with Supply Chain Managers * Prepare portfolio reports and propose cost saving initiatives * Sourcing new suppliers * Category strategy development * Working closely with suppliers to develop new supply chain initiatives * Involved in aspects of Quality Control Experience Required: * Bachelor’s Degree Required in Business or Finance.
