Job Specification Ref: VR/01118R Salary:Excellent+bens+car Supply Chain Software Consultant Location: Ideally Sheffield but can be based from home anywhere Nationwide Job Role: As an consultant specialising in the Supply Chain implementation arm of the function you will bring with you experience of and a proven track record of employment or consultancy within the MRP/ERP arena. You will be required to deliver high quality consultancy, training to customers according to agreed procedures/standards. The role of Consultant is pivotal to the business, which is very client focussed. You will be working within a proven and quality assured implementation methodology framework; and have exceptionally flexible and functional software at your disposal, with scope to positively have influence on the design of the product. Your work will mean travel in the UK, and occasionally abroad. You will develop into being a specialist in our main product –Supply Chain, which covers: · Supply Chain functions, such as order processing, stock, MRPII, production control, traceability, procurement. · Accounts functions, such as Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, nominal Ledger, Cashbook & Payroll. · 3rd party complementary products such as Crystal reports, pre-actor and Task centre Alerts. · Responsibility for the project management of new client installations · Install and upgrade the Supply Chain software for new and existing clients on customer sites · Undertake user training on all aspects of the Supply Chain product set · Recommend process improvements for clients to ensure they maximise the benefits of Supply Chain Main Duties include: · Carrying out on site consultancy as directed by the Consultant Manager · Pro-actively manage client implementations to ensure that they operate to time and within budget · Communicate with clients appropriately and manage client expectations to ensure that the client implementation is a success · Conduct project management meetings to scope the project and develop the relevant project stages · Create all necessary project management documentation and circulate appropriately · Provide internal training on the Supply Chain product set · Assist the product team with developing system documentation as required · Assist the product team with developing training materials as required · Provide advice and guidance to customers on system usage · Recommend improved working methods for the client to ensure that the software is being fully utilised · Identify additional sales / upgrade opportunities and liaise with the account managers to ensure that the client’s needs are met. · Undertake the relevant administrative tasks in line with procedures You are to otherwise accept duties and tasks in addition to the above as may be required by the company from time to time. Skills and Experience: · The ability to communicate with Senior Managers and Directors at the client, especially with regard to business challenges. · The ability to understand and communicate the issues affecting a business. · A willingness and ability to learn and apply new skills quickly. · The ability to use software to address business issues. · Experience of working as a customer-facing software implementation consultant · Success in a multi-project software environment · Ability to train and educate in both business concepts and software functionality · Facilitation skills · Detailed knowledge of MRP and ERP implementation methodologies · The ability to lead, or work as part of, a team consisting of a broad range of people · The ability to grasp the detailed elements of a problem · Written work that is factually correct, accurate and well presented with good grammar. · The ability to report on and manipulate data using a reporting package such as Crystal Reports. · An interest and appreciation of emerging technologies · Flexibility and adaptability · Good judgement · Commercial acumen · Good project management skills · Playing a lead role in ERP software implementation projects · Detailed business experience of manufacturing, distribution or service oriented companies, whether as an employee or consultant · Customer facing roles · Understanding the terms used in relevant business areas e.g. MRP2, APS, CRM, ABC, traceability. · Consultancy in both business processes and application software · Use of report writing tools such as Crystal Reports · Ability to use Microsoft SQL Server tools for importing and exporting data · A full, clean UK driving license is a pre-requisite for the job
