Job Description: Apprenticeship Opportunity (section 13) for Fitting x 7 and Welding x 7 and Boilermaking X 6 and Instrumentation x 6 and Electrical x 4. Also Learnership Chemical Operations NQF 2 x 10. Omnia will grant this candidate the opportunity to obtain a full qualification (Red Seal Qualification) in a specific trade when indenturing this candidate for a period of 3.5 years. National Certificate Chemical Operations Learnership NQF 2. Binding Contract which includes Workplace Experience according to a prescribed Training Schedule and Theoretical Studies (objective is obtain Red Seal Qualification/ Nat Cert Chemical Operations NQF Level 2) Duties: • To attend theoretical classes at an accredited provider, • To obtain relevant plant training on site, • Must complete curriculum for the designated trade per schedule as prescribed by CHIETA. Qualifications: Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science & 2 technical subjects. (Maths Literacy NOT accepted). N2 Certificate including four relevant subjects of Mathematics, Engineering Science, Trade Theory, and fourth subject as required by the trade OR, Technical trade theory program quality assured by a SETA deemed to equivalent to NQF level 3 OR, Relevant Engineering NCV Certificate with seven subjects at NQF level 3. Experience: No previous experience required Job Competencies: • Medically fit, • Age: 18 years and over, • Suitable for a person without dependents, • Excellent communication skills, • Ability to adhere to academic guidelines, • Willing to conform to rigid standards of performance, • High energy levels, • Self-motivated. • Be able to produce work of high quality, • High concentration levels and attention to detail, • Work accurately and carefully, • Be willing to keep up-to-date with advances in techniques and equipment, Good interpersonal skills.
