Job Title: Asst. Manager Commercials & Logistics Department: Logistics & Commercials Location: ATGI PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE: Provide leadership and support the ATGI supply chain by managing daily distribution and warehouse activities including goods receiving and inspection, warehousing, packing/kitting and shipping and traffic plus all associated Excise, Customs and associated taxation issues. Responsible for co-ordinating customer orders to ensure they are shipped on C.R.D. and supplying all necessary documentations as requested by the customer. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensures proper processing of customer orders through the Distribution Team including: a. Check material availability/shopfloor capacity. b. Order promising c. Order releasing d. Allocations of work to shopfloor e. Organise carriers f. All necessary paperwork and transactions g. Meet quality specifications and standards such as ISO 9000 h. Manage labour requirements and supervise same. i. Manage all warehousing and packing equipment, consumables and 2. Tracks past due orders/missed orders, customer complaints, delivery problems and relates this information to Business Units are appropriate. 3. Close communication with B.U. Managers and Planners regarding product availability, inventory levels and customer service. 4. Ensures cycle counting process is conducted on warehouse (including yard) ensuring proper reconciliation and corrective action for discrepant items is carried out and submits monthly reports as required. materials. 5. Monitor warehouse/packing/ shipping employee’s performance, attendance and conformity to Andrew practices and procedures. 6. Ensure proper maintenance and use of Andrew equipment. 7. Keep Plant and corporate Logistics / Commercials management aware of all issues which have an impact on local import/export, tax and duty issues. 8. Maintain up to date knowledge and advise B.U’s on concessionary duties, EPCG schemes. Dealer invoices, high-seas sales, Octroi, Entry Tax, Road permits, work challans and other legal considerations that impact the ability to import, export, sell and transport goods throughout India. 9. Maintain relationship with Customs and Excise and monitor Cenvat and PLA payments. 10. Select appropriate carriers, couriers and other transporters as necessary to ensure low cost and effective logistics including monitoring said transporters performance in line with quality requirements. 11. Work as member of ATGI management team to promote best practices and maintain low cost high quality and superior service to customers. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS; Qualifications: Further Education Diploma or Degree in appropriate discipline – materials or logistics preferred Education: College education preferred. Experience: 5 years in a distribution warehouse / logistics Working Knowledge: Requires a working knowledge of practices, environment preferably in a supervisory capacity, computer literate. Strong written and verbal reporting and negotiating skills required. Good leadership skills. procedures and methods related to a business environment in India, including Customs and Excise systems and procedures and government legislation as affects imports and exports and trading in general.
