Job Title: Director of the CFE of the Anatolia School of Business Department and BU: Center for Entrepreneurship of the Anatolia School of Business of the American College of Thessaloniki Closing Date: November 8, 2013 or until position is filled Description: Under the direction of the Chair of the Anatolia School of Business, the Director, and Entrepreneurship Center, will create programs and activities that support the growth of regional businesses by organizing and coordinating counseling and training programs; collaborating with other local business, governmental and educational institutions to identify and address business needs, develop and launch regional programs supporting businesses and entrepreneurship; and to encourage youth of ages 14 and up to pursue entrepreneurship as a career path. The person should have a strong understanding of social entrepreneurship and create programs within and out of the school community in its promotion. The individual will also write plans and reports and research proposals as well as supervising research. This is a full-time, 2 year appointment on a 6 month evaluation basis that is contingent on funding to continue past this point. Duties: Connect with high growth businesses with a view to provide in-depth consulting as needed. Identifying, soliciting and training a core of experienced mentors. Develop the “Roadmap” to successful entrepreneurship. Work and collaborate with the sponsor’s advisory committee to create programs and seminars exploiting the rich resources of this American entity. Identify and solicit NGOs and other social institutions to provide organizational mentorship. Work with international organizations in the promotion of social entrepreneurship. Organize activities and events in promotion of entrepreneurship, building awareness for the center. Organize and implement a schedule of workshops and conferences related to identified business needs relevant to the region; develop a roster of guest presenters. Prepare quarterly reports related to activities, budgets and targeted results. Qualifications: Doctorate or Masters degree in a Business specialty from an accredited college/university, entrepreneurial experience or involvement desired but not entirely necessary. 5 years responsible business management experience as an owner/operator or management level in a corporation with budget and strategic oversight, and decision making responsibility. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of business owners and students in the region. Knowledge and abilities: Knowledge of business practices and procedures. Knowledge of rules and regulations governing business. Knowledge of English and Greek, usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Ability to read and interpret rules and regulations pertaining to small business operations. Ability to compile, analyze and prepare a variety of statistical and administrative reports. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of personalities contacted in the course of work.
