Job Title: Female Merchandiser Section/Unite: Regional Sales Supervisor: Merchandising Supervisor/Sales Supervisor No. of Post: 6 Duty Station: Khartoum Closing Date: 30 August 2013 Background: Purpose of the job Ensure that products appear in the right store on the right shelf at the appropriate time and in the correct quantities, working closely with the sales team, in order to accurately forecast trends, plan stock levels and monitor performance. Follow pre-determined journey plan sequence in line with the business requirements. Duties and responsibilities: Key Accountabilities 1. Product Display Check the presentation of the products as per merchandising policy, in order to increase the shelf share in the market and display products correctly to ensure availability of products and ease of reach. Ensure shelf space rentals are maintained as per contract terms. 2. Stock Plan Plan the product ranges and prepare sales & stock plans in conjunction with sales team, in order to avoid out of stock scenarios and arrange order from customer where required. 3. Selling Analysis Analyze every aspect of bestsellers, the bestselling price point, display colour and style, to ensure that bestsellers reach their full potential, and communicate results to sales team. Conduct stock auditing on regular basis. 4. Product’s Shelf Life Monitor Product’s Shelf Life at the stores, to ensure that the reserved product’s space is filled up accordingly and no expired product is displayed. Follow company policy in relation to date code and aging products. Liaise with sales and delivery team for return of products in accordance with date code policy. 5. Point of Sale material Utilise required point of sale material at proper locations, and remove aged/damaged point of sale material. Ensure maintenance of all company assets (chillers/freezers) and point of sale material to a high standard and in accordance with company policy. 6. Market Report Report any newly launched products in the market by competitors, in order to react accordingly based on the company’s market plan. Complete daily activity format indicating activity completed during the day and relevant comments, and discuss daily with superior. Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: - 1-3 years of practical experience in FMCG industry. - Young, healthy, active and ready to join within possible short time. - Only Female candidates at this stage with age limit 20 – 30 years. - Valid driving license for sales team.
