Job Title: Health & Safety Senior l IKEA l Cairo festival City l Egypt Location; Cairo About the Job Assists in providing safe environment 24/7 within IKEA store. Insures execution of all planned and recommended measures to provide safe IKEA Store. Enhances the Health and safety to meet IKEA standards and policies. Key Accountabilities Support cost controlling through working in a lean, simple, cost-conscious way using good examples and solutions, encouraging colleagues to discover more effective ways of working. Provide HSE and technical support for general queries and report on HSE performance and best practice Conduct monthly the fire marshals and first aider meeting Liaise with operations staff to ensure effective use of best practice and consistency in approach to HSE activities Handles the electrical safety program Provide regular Safety training for the new hired and annual refresh training for all IKEA cow-workers Ensure that all Fire Protection systems are well maintained. Working with the maintenance team to ensure that all building equipment is safe and well maintained. Liaise with the CFC Mall and City Management Safety owners. Create IKEA culture which holds safety as a top priority at all levels. Managing the fire protection program. Managing the work permits process. Develop H&S program & policy. Train employees on safety policies, procedures and regulations. Actively participate on risk assessments that need to be completed for Health and Safety. Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Engineering background Occupational Safety & Health Specialist (Governmental Certified) NIOSH OSHA Industry or NASP is preferred. At least 2 years of experience in the field of health, safety and environment. Excellent skills in written and oral English communication. Computer skills in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
