Job Vacancy: CAD Professional: 3D Modeling, Mechanical/Industrial Engineer, Mechanical/Industrial Designer Deadline: 1st of September, 2014 Project Description: We are building a digital manufacturing lab with a pilot project focused on 3D-printed prosthetic limbs and assistive devices for Syrian child amputees. Location and Timeframe: This is a full-time role based in Zaatari and Amman, Jordan from October 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. We expect the majority of the work to take place in Zaatari, and we will provide daily transportation from Amman. Qualifications & Characteristics: - Advanced CAD modeling skills in SolidWorks strongly preferred. At least 5 years experience with Fusion360, Inventor, Catia, Creo, ZBrush, Rhino or other leading CAD software required. - Strongly preferred to have experience tuning and working with consumer-grade FDM 3D printers, ideally Ultimaker Originals - Bachelor’s degree required. Relevant fields of study include, but are not limited to: mechanical engineering or design, industrial engineering or design, biomedical engineering and architecture. 3D artists strongly encourage to apply. - Master’s degree preferred. - Good analytical, writing and presentation skills; prior training delivery experience preferred. - Consummate self-starter but also a close listener and team player. - A track record of collaboration and collegiality and a passion for social impact. - An entrepreneurial, hands-on and can-do attitude. - Jordanian citizens strongly encouraged to apply.
