Job done yesterday. It wasnt vintage stuff, but I thought Aberdeen - TopicsExpress

Job done yesterday. It wasnt vintage stuff, but I thought Aberdeen did pretty well, all things considered, and never really seemed in much danger. Langfield was his usual eccentric self, but everyone else gets pass marks at least. Cammy Smith did well (what a first touch this boy has), and will be some player when he learns to impose himself on games a wee bit more. Im sure that will come. The midfield, in general, did well, and it was good to see Ryan Jack running at the opposition a bit more in the second half. Adam Rooney looks like a proper goal scorer, and might end up being the best weve had since Duncan Shearer. Dumbarton looked a decent side, and I would say that the only thing stopping them from making a real push for a playoff slot would be fitness. They tired visibly after the goal. Their fans were a credit to them, and were larger in number and noisier than most of the SPL away crowds this season. All in all, were in a great position. Were in another semi-final, with a cup final to look forward to, and we can sit back and have a proper look at our cup final opponents today. ICT still have the small matter of playing Dundee Utd and then Hibs in midweek before preparing for next Sunday. Hopefully both will be hard games and physically exhausting. Oh, and Motherwell dropped points yesterday as well. I havent felt this good about following the Dons in years. I dont know how long it will last (probably until next Sunday), but Im just going to enjoy it while it does. Stand free!
