Job fair set in Boac, Sta. Cruz towns BOAC, MARINDQUDUE – The Provincial Government of Marinduque scheduled a two-day job fair in the municipalities of Boac and Sta. Cruz this July 26 and 27. Initiated by Governor Carmencita Reyes, the affair aimed at opening the career opportunities for the people of Marinduque and to generate more employment among the professional and technical workers in the area. The event was spearheaded by the provincial Public Employment Services Office (PESO) through PESO head Irma Reyes in coordination with the Department of Labor Employment (DOLE). Irma Reyes said the job fair also aimed at addressing the underemployment status of some Marinduqueno workers; that is, to help our local professional and technical workers find jobs that match their qualifications. In Boac town, the event will be held at PESO Administration Office at the Provincial Capitol Compound starting 8 am. In Sta. Cruz town, the activity will be conducted at Sta. Cruz Municipal Hall. Among the employers that are expected to participate are those from local business, private and agency sectors.
