Job for a Microbiologist - Nestlé (Potchefstroom) Qualifications - Graduate (Degree or Diploma)-or working toward a degree or diploma ND Food Tech/Microbiology/Chemistry - Min 3 years experience in microbiological techniques and analyses Skills - Systematic and structured Knowledge - Microbiological principals and techniques. - Robust product knowledge. - ISO 17025 certification process and documentation requirements - Food safety and regulatory compliance - IT: MS excel and Word, LIMS, QSAT and SAP Other Requirements - Weekend availability Main Purpose of the job. The job holder carries out independently microbiological analyses between (pathogens and hygiene) according to Nestle internal and official procedures based on classical techniques and rapid methods (E.g.TRANSIA) The analyst is responsible for preparation of the sample, analyses and reporting of results within 5 days according to a strict work planning and GLP. Records are kept on equipment maintenance and chemicals/medium preparation in order to assure full traceability.
