Job of the day: Mechanic Assistant Assist lead construction-equipment mechanic in repairing, assembling, and adjusting equipment for a railroad construction company. Responsibilities will include the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. Perform moderate to complex overhaul and repair work on engines, transmissions, drive unit, and brakes. Must have the ability to maintain records of work performed on all equipment and track servicing needs. Clean and organize the shop facilities and equipment on a regular basis.
