Job opening! Full-time Faculty, Composition Department Job Description Berklee College of Music seeks an active composer to fill the position of Full-Time Assistant Professor. Teaching duties will include courses in music theory, composition, counterpoint, and orchestration, along with areas of the candidate’s specializations. Service to the College includes academic advising, office hours, committee assignments, curriculum development, and other duties as assigned. Required Experience: Masters Degree or equivalent professional experience Works performed by professional ensembles Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability and willingness to work within a diverse faculty and student body Classroom teaching experience Preferred Qualifications: Completed Doctorate in composition, or related subject Innovative ideas about the teaching of music composition and theory Electronic applications only.
