Jobs+++Jobs++++++ Logistics Project Supervisor £30k Wimbledon PERM The role of the Project Supervisor is to aid in planning, execution of the plan, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Focusing in the main on Landmark and Major Contracts within the South Depot. This includes directing resources and co-ordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Supervisor will be fully conversant with the project’s objectives and will ensure this is delivered in full to depot logistics and the site delivery team. Qualifications & Training Required Ø Management & IOSHH – Managing Safely Ø First Aid & CSCS Ø MS Excel and Word Ø Driving License – Car, LGV Ø Vehicle Mounted, Straight Mast and Telehandler Forklift Truck Licenses Ø Shift Structure – Any 5 of 7 days (weekends will be standard) Ø Annual Leave – 24 days (see Contract of Employment) Ø Bank Holidays – 8 days (see Contract of Employment) Key Duties Ø Liaison with clients so that detail, operational understanding and delivery to expectations are commonplace Ø Management of build schedules on landmark contracts leading to improved planning, cost control and consistency Ø Continually monitoring project progress and performance, identify any changes or cost overruns and rectify / re-plan to ensure cost control and delivery to agreed schedule Ø Close assistance with the Contracts Manager and site delivery team on the very largest and most complicated Landmark and Major Contracts. Ø Site supervision, motivation and management of employed and agency workforce Ø Delivery of site visits, data capture and communication Ø To continue to professionally develop and to set and achieve objectives through appraisal Ø Any other reasonable duty at the request of your line or functional manager Control Ø Management, understanding and adherence to health and safety legislation and policy Ø Attendance of pre-contract handover and post contract reviews where appropriate Ø Understanding of company policies and procedures and management thereof Ø The management of site variations, change control and damages Ø The management of site productivity and performance Ø The reporting of non-conformances and issues using an appropriate system Ø Responsibility for ensuring company vehicles are regularly maintained in accordance with company procedures, defects are recorded and reported immediately Ø Responsibility for the vehicle load ensuring that all products and equipment are safely loaded and secured onto vehicles and are accounted for Ø Responsibility for reporting all vehicle accidents and incidents as they occur, ensuring that company procedures are adhered to in a timely manner Ø Responsibility for reporting all site accidents and incidents as they occur, ensuring that company procedures are adhered to in a timely manner Ø Responsibility for accurately completing in a timely manner all site paperwork, driver’s weekly reports and defect reports People Ø The management and supervision of resource to fulfil contract obligations and requirements Ø To maintain a professional working relationship with all individuals and functions and take a ‘can do’ approach with all challenges Ø The management of all reports allocated to the contract Ø Responsibility for ensuring all workers are punctual, wear the correct PPE, maintain a professional appearance and behave appropriately Competencies Ø IT Literate Ø A good knowledge of London including routes and restrictions Ø Technically proficient with, barriers, fencing and flooring Ø Ability to function in high pressure environments Ø Possess good communication skills with the ability to influence Ø Ability to prioritise and work efficiently Ø Organisational and planning skills Ø People management and supervision Ø Confident, professional and flexible Ø Process understanding and adherence CVs to:[email protected]
