Joe Caldwell has been building a 1958 Plymouth Christine for the past few years and this car is finally near completion! The workmanship and attention to detail is absolutely second to none and I want to share Joes story and photos of this project with you all! Part 1.... The story begins in 2011, I purchased an original 1958 Plymouth Savoy with 66K miles fairly rust free and barely running. After acquiring the car I began to scout out all the best parts I could find starting with people like John of Big M and Johnny G of Ocala, FL. October 2012 the car was completely dismantled, boxing and bagging every part, nut and bolt, then removed the body from the frame, stripped the frame bare and mounted them on 2 separate rotisseries. They along with a full collection of Real Screen Used Movie Parts purchased and fully documented by a Collector in California which also included the one and only Show Me Scene GC L-350 Dual Quad, were sent to American Dry Stripping in Milford, CT to be completely media blasted and finally brought the Body to Brighton Collision to be etched primed, Body Worked and finally primed. The Frame was sent to Vincent Auto Body to be Painted. The Movie Engine was sent to Big Als Toy Box handles the awesome rebuild and dyno sessions. The Fury Tranny and Rear were completely restored and rebuilt by Furyjim Rawa. The entire Suspension has been Power Coated by Performance Industries. To be continued....
