Joe Perry: what does my picture with Joe illustrate ? A. The modeling gene is passed from mother to daughter. B. The ability to take a decent photo skips a generation. C. Joes hair sprayed me in the face and Im seeking medical attention and D . All of the above. For what its worth, there is a worse get off my lawn picture which Im not sharing. We are talking about diving in Couzamel. Joe looks like he would be hanging upside down in a cave somewhere with Keith Richards, cryogenically frozen, getting a speedball enema from a Hungarian hooker. Joe is after reading the 1st one hundred pages of his new autobiography, an avid outdoorsman. Who knew ? Hence our conversation. In regards to the book, if you are a fan- the store Target has 3 signed copies at all their locations. Bought them all in San Bernardino as I dont believe anybody else in the city visits the book section. First met Joe in 1994 at the opening of the House of Blues in Los Angeles. First saw him play in ( yikes ) 1978 at Cal Jam ll in Ontario California with 300,000 of my neighbors. Believe it or not, havent seen Aerosmith since. Love the band , the music, just none of the gigs ever jumped out at me. By way of explanation that HOB opening was by invite only and had an impressive audience. Among them Keith Richards, Dr. Dre. Jeff Lynne, Brad Pitt.... so a knucklehead like me wasnt getting in. Rock on Joe. Maybe one of these days....
