Joe Rom gets it 100% wrong. Think progress which if funded via Soros and exists solely for the purpose of enriching himself and his elite friends will say anything to keep the taxpayer funded subsidies flowing into there overseas tax haven bank accounts. The Global warming hoax is indeed being kept alive by propaganda pieces like this. The pause in warming is very real, Hansen called it a travesty the IPCC labelled it a hiatus after denying into existence for several year scientists have been left scrambling to find the reasons for what Lovejoy describes in his paper as a cooling. Unlike this article suggests the missing heat has not gone into the oceans as far as we can tell certainly no one has measured it, and surface air temperatures as measured by many of the worlds temperature stations all show the hiatus many show a pause of over 20 years with definite cooling post 2002 with is backed up by RSS data. So far we have seen many conflicting hypothesis on the cause of the pause. The one with the most credit and forwarded in the AR5 itself would be that the climate models are wrong and the effects of CO2 forcing on temperatures is so small that we cant measure it. Lets remember that if the ocean have absorbed the missing heat its not CO2 responsible for warming the ocean. The sun warms the oceans in the tropics and ENSO and PDO events distribute the heat in the Philippines and the AMO in the Atlantic. These process are natural climate models do not model them successfully and no one can claim that CO2 effects them. England and Kitcat released some fancy modelling suggesting it was possible for winds to hide the heat in deep ocean waters. No one has observed this missing heat to date. You may have seen charts showing ocean heat content. These charts are themselves a fabrication. No one has measured the increase in temperature because the increase in temperature of re deep ocean would be less than 0.01 degree. Where does that leave us? Right back to the drawing board and the IPCC AR5 reports suggestion that the forcing due to CO2 feedback is overestimated. If, and its a big if as Kitcat suggests the oceans are eating the warming it will be thousands of years before it come roaring back. Global warming is on hold for now, if SATs dont resume their upward trend within the text two to three years it is all over for the alarmist crowd.
