Joe Walker, Valley View and Anaverde Hills Schools are collecting orders and donations for Wreaths Across America. These wreaths will be placed on the graves of veterans in the Lancaster Cemetery in December to honor their service. If youd like to purchase a wreath for $15, order forms are available at the these schools. If youd like to make a donation, students and local veterans will be available to accept your donation at Valley View and Joe Walker before and after school in the drive through areas. During the coming weeks, several other Westside schools will be holding canned food drives to benefit SAVES and Grace Resources, as well as hosting pajama drives and coat collections to help the needy in our community. If youd like to participate in any of these drives, donations can be dropped off at the school offices. Please check your schools individual website for the dates of their drives. Our awesome Westside students are committed to helping our local community through a variety of non profit organizations that each schools ASB, PTA/PTSA or Student Council chooses. Thank you for supporting our students as they learn about the importance of being a positive member of the community in which we live.
